Storage in Teams
Where are documents shared in Teams stored?
1️⃣ In a team channel:
Storage in SharePoint, in a folder named after the channel
2️⃣ In a private or group conversation:
Storage in OneDrive, "Microsoft Teams chat files" folder

What do I use and when?
Conversation Teams : for short collaborations (1 week to 3 months), without a shared team.
Teams team : for long or structured projects, with several collaborators.
👉 Working in a shared space avoids duplication and sending by email.
👉 If a colleague leaves emlyon, the files shared in a Teams team remain accessible.
👉 To open Teams files or applications in a new tab: right-click on the application and then choose " Open in a new window "
