Permitted duration of an internship agreement
An internship agreement cannot be established for a fixed duration:
less than 2 months
more than 6 months
✅ Mandatory agreement before the start of the internship
An internship should never begin without a signed internship agreement.
Without an agreement, you are not covered in case of an accident .
✅ Internship beyond August 31st
If your internship continues after August 31st , you must re-register .

✅ Remuneration and workplace accident coverage
If the company pays you more than €4.50 per hour ,
→ it is required to cover you for the risk of work-related accidents , in accordance with French legislation.
✅ Mandatory minimum compensation in France
For an internship in France :
lasting more than 2 consecutive months
full time
The minimum mandatory compensation is €4.50 per hour .
